Briefly explain life story: As a child, she and her older twin brother, Luke, were abused and neglected by their biological parents. Her older brother would usually protect her, but when he was asleep or away, she’d be beaten without Luke’s knowledge, mostly by her father. This continued until they were 8 years old, when their neighbor reported screams coming from Yeva. It was reported that one of her father’s friends joined in with her father in beating her, and then the friend raped her in the process. Both Luke and Yeva were taken out of the home and put in foster care. They stayed there until a man from Russia adopted them, he couldn’t handle them, and so they were taken back to the foster home and then were taken from a couple from Norway. By the time they were back in another foster home, they were both in middle school. Then they were put back in the foster home when they were about 14, except in this one, they were abused yet again and sometimes sexually harassed by the staff members. This went on for two years until they were adopted again by a couple from Japan. They were both 16. 8 months after they moved to Japan, they moved to America. They stayed there ever since then.
