I'm possibly going to quit using bases

for three years now, I've been using bases, the original reason why I was using bases was because I was too afraid to showcase my actual drawings, in fear of being judged and hated because of them, sure, I'd show snit bits of my drawings here and there, but I've pretty much deleted them now and I honestly want to keep it that way (at least, my old art anyway) but I've been thinking here lately, and I really want to gain the confidence and ween myself out of using bases so I can draw on my own without being afraid to show them to others, I want to get better with my style and possibly do better for people when it comes to requests and commissions (kinda why I've been holding back on commissions lately) I actually have a bunch of drawings in my sketchbook that have been sitting there all year long, I really wanted to post them on dA but I've just never really had the motivation or the strength to do so, however now that I've drawn and posted a few things on here, I really want to just stop using bases so much and start drawing for real, I realized that as an artist, bases won't really get you anywhere if you want to hold up drawing as a job, and I really want to become some type of artist, possibly as a side job or a main job I have, not sure which but that's what I want to achieve and I know that if I want to do that, I will need to stop using bases 

also, another reason why I'm thinking of quitting the base community is because let's face it, bases don't really help you grow as an artist, yes, they do help you at SOME things, however when it comes to learning about anatomy, they don't help you that much, especially if you decide to edit a poorly done base, though I probably won't leave the community entirely, of course I will finish things that have bases on them and I will finish collabs/commissions that were done with bases, however after that I probably won't post base edits unless I feel like editing a base or if I think the base is pretty, also I won't stop making bases on my other account either, I might start making more original bases on my other one, or just try to fix poorly done bases and make it easier for others to use other than that, I won't be using them as much
